First Year Programs

Description

Student Coordinators serve as a liaison between professional staff and program-specific student staff members (Orientation Leaders, FIG Leaders, Dawg Daze Leaders, etc.) to support office operations and ensure programs run smoothly. Student Coordinators also perform the following functions:

  • Provide general support for all FYP programs, including Advising & Orientation, Dawg Daze, First-year Interest Groups, Collegium Seminars, Commuter & Transfer Commons, etc.
  • Interact with prospective and incoming students and their families by answering questions in person, over the telephone, email, and text.
  • Assist first-year students and their families with issues related to FYP programs, services, policies, and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other FYP staff members to support office operations including program registration, preparation, and logistics.
