Husky Kickoff (Students Only) | First Year Programs

All new Huskies (freshman and transfer) are invited to the Husky Stadium field for the annual Husky Kickoff tradition. Connect with first-year students, learn about Husky traditions, take your class “W” photo, and win a prize. To ensure we have the capacity to host all first-year students, this event is open to first-year students only. UW family members are encouraged to attend the New Student Convocation.

If you want to view the activities from a low sensory area, please enter the stadium from the southeast entrance and sit in the outdoor stands.

After the W Photo, if you are in a First-year Interest Group (FIG), you will connect with your FIG or Engineering Peer Leader and classmates on the IMA Fields. When you arrive, you must know your FIG Section, which is the section of the course GEN ST 199 (ex. GEN ST 199 H5).
