Add-ons are only available when purchasing a sponsorship package (see above).
Each year, the University of Washington welcomes over 9,000 new undergraduates to the campus and the U-District. Dawg Daze is the UW’s comprehensive effort to build community among new students, assist them in their transition, and introduce them to their new neighborhood. The program is massive, with more than 350 events over ten days and participation by more than 60 campus departments. The scale of events ranges from 5,000-person concerts and rallies to small, personalized walking tours of campus. We invite you to be a part of this longstanding UW tradition and one of the country's most extensive college student welcome programs!
Sponsorship at Dawg Daze will help your company or group become an advocate for all that the UW has to offer. As the state’s flagship university, the UW provides world-class academics, renowned art, music and drama, and elite athletics. The UW serves more students than any other institution in the Northwest. In addition to the entering class, your marketing can make a lasting impression on the broader UW community of 36,000 undergraduate students, 13,000 graduate students, and more than 10,000 faculty and staff.

Add-on Sponsorship Opportunities
- T-shirt logo placement is available on the sleeve. 200+ student volunteers and 100+ faculty/staff wear the t-shirts during the event and beyond.
- Social media marketing is for one (1) post on our social media. Additional packages can be built for multiple posts and/or stories added to the account.
- E-mail marketing can either be a logo or a logo and text about your organization. The emails are sent out to all 8,000 first-year students. Depending on frequency and content, the price will fluctuate.
- Additional event sponsorship allows additional engagement opportunities during Dawg Daze.
Tabling on campus is reserved for the Dawg Daze Key Event called Vendor Fair/Student Activities Fair. This two-day event is our largest traffic event held on the UW Red Square in the center of campus.
Tables are limited. Once we are at capacity, we can put your organization or business on a waitlist. In the event of an organization or business is no longer available to attend, an organization or business on the waitlist will be notified.
Sponsorship opportunities are evaluated based on existing services on campus in collaboration with our campus partners. For example, all health-related entities will be directed to Hall Health as an effort to align with the centralized wellness efforts on campus and all academic support entities will be directed to work with Academic Support Programs. Sponsorship opportunities will also be evaluated based on existing campus-wide sponsorships.
In the event of inclement weather, Vendor Fair/Student Activities Fair will continue as scheduled, unless lightning occurs. The closing of the Vendor Fair/Student Activities Fair is at the discretion of the First Year Programs and the Student Activities Office staff.
In order to arrange for an appropriate flow of participants, table placement and arrangement will be managed by the Dawg Daze staff. Moving tables or swapping with other table occupants will not be permitted without approval by Dawg Daze staff. Additionally, representatives at each table should stay within five feet of their designated table. Wandering through the fair to distribute materials or recruit session participants will not be permitted.
Distribution of Materials
Departments and organizations are encouraged to distribute materials, information, and swag to students, parents, and family members. We further encourage those materials to be environmentally sustainable. Specific materials prohibited from distribution include but are not limited too alcohol or other drug paraphernalia (ex: bottle openers, shot glasses, cigar cutters, ashtrays) and potentially allergenic sprays or fragrances.
Is access provided to electricity and wi-fi while tabling?
Most spaces available at Vendor Fair/Student Activities Fair do not have access to electricity, we can work with you on an individual basis if you will require access to electricity. Wi-fi is available on campus to guests.
How do I get a table at the Vendor Fair/Student Activities Fair for my business or organization?
Vendor Fair/Student Activities Fair is one of the key events at Dawg Daze. We invite non-University of Washington businesses and organizations to table at the fair as part of a sponsorship package. Tabling is not available to non-UW entities unless associated with a sponsorship package. All non-UW entities are considered in context of existing campus resources and UW First Year Programs sponsorship guidelines.
What are other sponsorship opportunities with First Year Programs?
Our office coordinates several other programs that are available for sponsorship opportunities. Sponsorship for Advising and Orientation (A&O) is limited, you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more.
