View the UW's response to COVID-19. Our services and staff are available remotely and by phoneAdvising & Orientation sessions will remain in a remote platform through 2021. For more information, review our Remote Advising & Orientation Updates page.

It is important for all of us to do our part to minimize the spread of COVID-19. An important part of working to keep our community safe is by wearing a face-covering. While attending a Dawg Daze event we ask all attendees to wear a face-covering when indoors or outdoors, regardless of vaccination status. If you do not have a face covering, we ask that you leave the event immediately. If you need a face-covering please email fyp@uw.edu or visit MGH 120. (updated 9/8/21)

Orientation Leaders

Orientation Leaders are current students that will lead students through discussion and activities with academic advisers and campus experts and will be on-hand to give advice and answer questions.

Role of an Orientation Leader

During Advising & Orientation, your student will be placed into small groups and will be connected with one of these student leaders who they will be able to use as a resource throughout the academic year. A list of current Orientation Leaders can be accessed by your student on our Freshman U.S., Freshman International, and Transfer Orientation pages.
