Summer Quarter Admission

Congratulations on being admitted for the summer quarter. Please follow the steps based on how you have been admitted to the UW.

Pathway 1: Admitted for the summer quarter by the Office of Admissions

  1. Register for summer classes: Register for your summer classes on your own. Explore the registration resources website for assistance. Access will open to register for summer quarter mid-May during the "Period 2 - Summer Session" dates. View the academic calendar for the specific date.
  2. Reserve a spot for Advising & Orientation: After you have registered for summer, you will attend a Summer/Autumn Admit A&O session.  Please choose an A&O session date that does not interfere with your class, as full participation in A&O is required. You will register for your fall classes during your A&O session in the summer.

Pathway 2: Registered for summer session through the Continuum College as a Matriculated student for Autumn

  1. Register for Summer Session: Register for summer classes through Continuum College. You can register in late April.
  2. Reserve a spot for Advising & Orientation: You will be admitted to the UW as an autumn admit student. You are required to attend an Summer/Autumn Admit A&O session.  Please choose an A&O session date that does not interfere with your class, as full participation in A&O is required. You will register for your fall classes during your A&O session in the summer.

Pathway 3: Registered for one class as a Non-Matriculated student

  1. If you are attending UW just for the summer quarter as a non-matriculated student, you do not need to attend an A&O session.
