Transfer Interest Group Facilitators
TrIG Facilitators gain and hone their leadership, presentation, group facilitation, and teaching skills. TrIG Facilitators are trained during Spring Quarter by enrolling in a 2-credit course (C/NC), GEN ST 470, Undergraduate Peer Instructor Practicum. There is some minimal class preparation work needed over the summer to prepare for class in the Autumn. In Autumn quarter, TrIG Facilitators will meet once a week with their class, for a lecture, and with the coordinator and other facilitators in the TrIG Program. TRIG Facilitators will receive 3 more credits of GEN ST 470 in the fall, totaling 5 credits for the total experience.
This opportunity is reserved for students who transferred to the UW from another college or university. There are opportunities for TrIG facilitators to lead a university community class that is clustered with academic classes, as well as a stand-alone university community course.
If you have questions and/or you are interested in this opportunity please send a letter of interest to trigs@u.washington.edu. TrIG facilitators will be chosen in Winter quarter.
