Family Orientation

Family Orientation is structured to provide parents and family members increased flexibility to access information. The program consists of three main components:

  • Prepare for Family Orientation: After your student registers you for Family Orientation, watch, read, and listen to important information about academics, finances, living, health and well-being, and campus life, which can be completed on your own time.
  • Family Orientation (For summer, autumn, winter): Attend our full-day session in Zoom and interact with faculty, staff, and administrators to identify personal strategies and behaviors that support your student's overall success as they transition to the Husky Community.
  • Ongoing Family Engagement: Engage with additional programming such as live webinars, newsletters, and podcasts to gain more information about the first-year transition.
