Family Orientation

Family Orientation is structured to provide parents, and family members increased flexibility to access information.

Family Orientation Session
After your student registers you for the Family Orientation session, you will gain access to the following program:

  • For summer and autumn: Attend our full-day session in Zoom and interact with faculty, staff, and administrators to identify personal strategies and behaviors that support your student's overall success as they transition to the Husky Community.
  • For winter and spring: Attend our live family session meeting in Zoom, to interact with First Year Programs and Parent and Family Programs staff to learn about personal strategies and behaviors that support your student's overall success as they transition to the Husky Community. You can view past recordings and presentations to learn important information about academics, finances, living, health and well-being, and campus life, which can be completed on your own time.

Ongoing Family Engagement: Engage with additional programs such as webinars, newsletters, and podcasts to gain more information about the first-year transition.
