University 101: Pre-Orientation

First year students asked for clarity and additional resources BEFORE their advising and orientation session. You asked and we listened, welcome to U101.

University 101 is a self-guided, online course designed to prepare you, and ensure success, for your on-campus or hybrid Advising & Orientation (A&O) session. U101 consists of 3 components that all need to be completed before your A&O session.

1. Online Modules - Will Open June 5th, 2017 

  • Start the online modules at least 2 weeks prior to your A&O date. It can take anywhere between 2 and 4 hours to complete. 
  • You must complete the FINAL SURVEY to show that you have completed the modules. 
  • In order to access the online modules, you will need to know your UW email and password. 
  • Don't forget to activate or forward your UW email in order to access U101.

2. Registration Resources - Will Open June 5th, 2017 

  • Registration resources is built within Canvas, which is the online learning management system used at the UW.
  • ​Registration resources will give you an overview of everything you need to know to register for classes during A&O.​

3. eCheckup To Go - Will Open June 5th, 2017 

  • eCheckup is a brief confidential screening survey, which will give you personalized feedback about alcohol and resources available at the UW.
  • We want you to succeed at the UW. You will learn about the resources available on campus and in our local community to help you help a friend. Having these skills can strengthen your ability to be a caring friend and empower you to help someone you care about.
  • Please complete eCheckup before your A&O session.​
