University 101: Pre-Orientation

U101 will open on June 5, 2017.

University 101 is a self-guided, online course designed to prepare you for your on-campus or hybrid Advising & Orientation (A&O) session. U101 consists of 3 components that must be completed before your A&O session. Start U101 at least 2 weeks prior to your A&O session. On average, students complete U101 in 3 to 4 hours, so please plan ahead.

1. Online Modules

  • In order to access the online modules, you will need to sign in with your UW NetID and password.
  • Don't forget to activate or forward your UW email.
  • After completing the FINAL SURVEY, the system will show that you have completed the modules.

2. Registration Resources

  • Registration Resources gives you an overview about registering for classes during A&O.
  • You can refer to these resources after A&O as you make changes to your schedule throughout the academic year.
  • This component is an online course in Canvas, which is the learning management system used by instructors.

3. eCheckup To Go

  • eCheckup is a brief confidential screening survey, which will give you personalized feedback about alcohol and resources available at the UW.
  • Through this survey, you will learn about the resources available on campus and in our local community to help you or to help a friend.
  • Please complete eCheckup before your A&O session.
