A&O Session Types & Reservation

Many students correlate an early orientation session with higher success and better class choices for their first quarter. There is no such thing as a “bad” date for A&O. Regardless of when a student attends; we guarantee access to a schedule with classes that count towards both full time status as well as graduation requirements. Advisers and current students will be available to help with suggestions and registration for classes throughout the entire summer.

Types of Advising & Orienation:

  • General On-Campus Session (2-Days): Attending a General On-Campus Session A&O session will connect you with information about majors across the university.
  • Direct Admission to Honors, Engineering and Business (2-Days): If you have been admitted into the University Honors program, or directly admitted into the College of Engineering or Foster School of Business, the dates (in the reservation system) provided to you will be the list of sessions where advisers from your program will assist with advising and course registration.
  • International Freshmen A&O: 1 Day Online/1 Day On-Campus: If you are an international freshman student who cannot come to campus earlier than September, this hybrid program is designed specifically for you. Learn more about support for International Students. International students attending Early Fall Start (EFS) can attend a General 2-day On-Campus A&O specifically for EFS students. This session (8/20-21) will appear in the reservation system.

Sessions open and close on a regular basis, if you are unable to get into the session you desire please continue to check back. We are not able to keep a waitlist.
