Favorite Thing About Seattle: EAT!
Advice For New Students: Find your voice, when you need something just ask for it. There are so many opportunities avaliable here at the UW.

Favorite Thing About Seattle: Fremont Troll in Fremont.
Advice For New Students: These next four or five years will be full of fun times with lots of new challenges, and experiences. But remember your first priority should be to get the great education you will need to be successful in the future. Use your resources and don’t be afraid to change your path (degree), find something that you are passionate about!

Favorite Thing About Seattle: You can do anything in this city from music and theatre to watching professional sports to visiting some of the finest farmer’s markets in the country.
Advice For New Students: Make sure to engage in campus in some way during your first month. It could be intramural sports, academic or hobby organizations, Greek Life, undergraduate research, or leadership and service.

Favorite Thing About Seattle: Coffee—no doubt
Advice For New Students: Find a club or organization that works for you in the first quarter. The UW has so many opportunities…you have to just JUMP IN!

Favorite Thing About Seattle: I'm a foodie and I think Seattle has the best restaurants; the locally-sourced, fresh food is delicious and creates an unparalleled dining experience.
Advice For New Students: When you first arrive, get involved with an activity that brings you comfort AND challenge yourself with something new. I learned and grew the most when I stepped outside of the scope of my high school views and expectations for college.

Favorite Thing About Seattle: The running and biking trails, getting around Seattle is fun and easy.
Advice For New Students: It is ok to ask for help! The UW makes it easy to get connected with caring and knowledgable faculty and staff. We are here for you.
