Lead a Husky Adventure

Why not lead students on a Husky Adventure?

Application deadline has been extended to May 31st, 2013.

Summer in Seattle is soon approaching! Are you interested in connecting with first-year students? Do you enjoy the Pacific Northwest and all that it has to offer? Is there a part of Seattle that you’ve always wanted to see, but never visited?  If any of these are true, you should consider leading a Husky Adventure!

Husky Adventures are staff and faculty-led day trips in August and September for new students. As a faculty or staff member you can share your passion with incoming students, help students get excited about starting their college experience, and enjoy a favorite pursuit with minimal planning and no cost.

Planning is simple. FYP staff will coordinate the marketing, registration, transportation, logistics, and administration of each Adventure during orientation and Early Fall Start. On-site staffing and support is provided before, during, and after the adventure, and all costs associated with the trip are incorporated into participant fees. During the weeks before your trip, FYP staff will be in contact with you about the specific logistics. Your main role will be leading the trip on the day-of and engaging with the students on the trip.

Next Steps. If you’re interested in leading an adventure, but don’t know what type of trip to plan, we will help you find the perfect destination! All you need to do is submit your interest form by the priority deadline of Wednesday, May 1st. Application deadline has been extended to May 31st, 2013.
